CURE FIP™ Launches Effective Oral Treatment for Feline Infectious Peritonitis

CURE FIP™ Oral FIP treatment is finally here! Cats battling feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) now have an EASY and EFFECTIVE treatment option. Many cat owners have written to us in the past 12 months requesting an easy to use oral solution that is as effective as our subcutaneous injections. Some have also shared with us the problems and shortcomings of oral tablets that's being offered in the market, and asked us to create a solution that is easier and cheaper to administer to their cats. We have listened to their comments and worked for the past 11 months to create an oral solution that meets their requirements.

How Effective are our Oral Capsules?

CURE FIP™ has conducted a clinical trial with 44 participating cats spanning 60 days. As a requirement for the clinical trial, each participating cat completed a Blood Count (CBC) and a Biochemical test before the beginning of the oral treatment, on day 30, and on day 60. Each participating cat's owner recorded their daily feedings, treatment progressions in the form of written logs, photos and videos. The results were compiled and examined for symptomatic improvements or possible regressions.

Participating cats were required to be able to eat by themselves, even if the amount was small. Cats who were having diarrhoea, vomiting and lacking appetite, were either rejected for the trial or in less severe conditions, provided with GS injections until they were able to feed again and experienced no severe complications in their digestive organs.

Out of the 44 participating cats 8 cats showed clear improvements, with blood protein levels and physical symptoms showing improvements. The 8 participants’ responses to the oral GS treatment outstandingly, and were able to exit the clinical trial and were placed into observation after only 30 days, with no sign of relapse (at the time of writing).

What do our participants have to say?

“I am very grateful that I was able to participate in the Oral Clinical Trial by CURE FIP™. I was given 30 pills for a month, I fed Butter 1 pill a day. She showed signs of improvements in the first week and from the second week onwards, she had become more active and her appetite improved. I am so happy to see her recovery. Thank you CURE FIP for the oral treatment, no more hassle for fur parents in needing to do the injections.” (K.M FAIZ, participant)

In order to obtain similar results as our study, we recommend using oral GS only after your cat has recovered sufficiently to be able to eat and poop normally, and doesn't show any neurological symptoms. Cats with digestive problems or a history of poor nutritional absorption should avoid using oral treatment.

Our GS oral medication has demonstrated similar treatment performance to our GS injections when used within certain prerequisite conditions. Thus we are confident to offer our new oral treatment to cat owners and veterinarians globally.

Why Choose CURE FIP™ Oral Treatment?

No more complicated dosage calculations. No more painful injections. Our oral capsules are simple to use. Choose the correct weight class for your cat. Administer 1 capsule a day. It is that SIMPLE!

Pink Capsule - cats weight less than 2.5kg

Green Capsule - cats weight between 2.5-4kg

Blue Capsule - cats weight above 4kg

We chose the capsule form to overcome inherent shortcomings cat owners have complaint to us. Compared to compressed powder tablets enabling your cat to have a better treatment experience. You may read about the benefits of oral capsules vs tablet here.

We highly recommend starting every FIP treatment with 30 days of injections first.

Cats suffering from feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) often have weakened digestive organs that cause poor absorption of the capsules’ content. Only start on our oral treatment after your cat is eating and pooping normally to ensure that he/she will obtain the desired amount of antiviral treatment to effectively arrest FIPV replication.

How to Administer Oral Capsules?

Feed only 1 capsule per day throughout the treatment period. Follow the same timing everyday for best results. There are 3 feeding methods to choose from.

  1. Tilt your cat’s head back and drop the capsule directly into the back of its tongue

  2. Mix the capsule with your cat’s favourite wet treat.

  3. Pour the entire content of the capsule onto your cat’s wet food.

Weigh your cat weekly and adjust the capsule dosage according to your cat's actual weight. If your cat shows slow or no improvement after 14 days of usage, there are two possible reasons.

  1. Poor absorption of oral capsule contents. Solution: increase the dosage by upgrading to the next weight class of oral capsules or switch to injections.

  2. You cat does not have feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). Contact your veterinarian to do further testing.
